Celebrating a Milestone

A nine month milestone! This girl is precious, near and dear to my heart. She has been in front of my lens since before she was born. I have been photographing her, every three months since birth. For this post, I'd like to spotlight the sessions that have lead up until our most recent one together.

Her mother and I have been friends for a long time. I cannot tell you how surprised and overjoyed everyone was to learn of this pregnancy. And it included an even more ecstatic soon-to-be Big Sister! A lot of confetti was used during that announcement photo session!

Eight years separate the two sisters, but the love they have for each other is undeniable.

We had planned for an outdoor maternity photo session, but we ended up staying indoors for this one. And it came out perfectly.

And then we started the collection of black and white portraits. They are quickly becoming some of my favorite portrait styles.

Kendyll was born on a cold day in early November. She was this perfect, tiny little piece of happiness and the gift this family had been waiting a long time for. She and I met on Day 1. (These detail shots after birth are everything!)

At three months old, she was a perfect little model. We did another session at home and it's one of my favorites!

Love this girl in her black and gold polka dots and big bows! I can never get enough of that sweet, sweet smile.

Her six month shoot was a breeze. She was a very happy girl so early in the morning and she had a blast getting cozy in the basket.

And this latest session, a whole nine months old. So much personality! Along with sitting up, army crawling all over the place, rolling around for fun, and lots and lots of giggles! Hopefully, in three more months, we'll have a FIRST BIRTHDAY session to blog about. The first is a big deal and should totally have it's own spotlight. ;)

My heart is so torn between feeling excited and feeling sad. Good luck to the Harvey family on their huge move and new adventure to Florida. I'm so sad that this little one isn't just a short drive down the highway, but a plane ride isn't out of the question!
